The "Branch"

One of the oldest organizations in Canada, the Branch offers competitions for OVCA Curlers

In 1852, the Montreal and Quebec City Curling Clubs sought affiliation with the Royal Caledonian Curling Club and the "Branch" was born.

Today the Canadian Branch is an autonomous organization, and facilitates events with the Ottawa Valley Curling Association (OVCA), the Grand National Curling Club of America (GNCC), and Curling Quebec (CQ) member clubs.

Canadian Branch Challenge Cup 1000th Challenge

Quebec Challenge Cup

The Canadian Branch is celebrating the 1000th Challenge of the historic Quebec Challenge Cup, and your club could be a part of history!

Instead of the usual club vs club challenge, the 1000th Challenge will be a team vs team (OVCA vs Quebec) challenge, and your club could be a part of the OVCA team!

Entries will be based on a bid system - if your club wishes to enter a team, you must bid for entry.  The base bid is $300 per team, increased in $20 increments.  Entry deadline is January 10th, 2020.

For more information on the 1000th Challenge, see the linked poster, or visit the Branch website.  For more information on the 145-year history of the Quebec Challenge Cup, visit the Branch website.
