Above are some of the hardy curlers who showed up at Dow's Lake this morning at 8 am for the Flash Mob to cheer on our Olympic athletes in curling and speedskating. OVCA Men's Bonspiel Entries

The entries are coming in much faster this year for the OVCA Men's Bonspiel (formerly known as the City of Ottawa Bonspiel). There are only 2 openings left in the Senators. See the list of teams so far on the Men's Bonspiel's website. Deadline for entries is February 19.

OVCA Mixed Bonspiel Winners

Congratulation to the 2010 OVCA Mixed Bonspiel Safeguard Trophy winner Chris Gardner of Ottawa Curling Club. Senior winner was Serge Denis, also of Ottawa Curling Club, a repeat from last year. Other event winners: Paul Madden of Rideau, David Cormier of Huntley, Luc Landiault of Navan, Bob Walker of Granite, and Layne Noble of Rideau (filling in for Wally Morris). Ottawa's Rachel Homan is Canadian Junior Champ

SOREL-TRACY, Que. -- Ontario's Rachel Homan capped an undefeated run at the Canadian junior curling championship by beating Dailene Sivertson's B.C. rink 9-5 on Sunday. It is the first Canadian junior title for skip Rachel Homan, third Emma Miskew, second Laura Crocker and lead Lynn Kreviazuk, along with coach Earle Morris. Full Story...

Little Rock Championship Forms now Available

See the youth events page for information and forms for the OVCA Little Rock Championship. Finals are at Richmond Curling Club on Saturday March 13.

Volunteers needed for the Canadian Seniors

Volunteers are needed to help with the 2010 Senior Men's & Women's Curling Championship at the Ottawa Hunt Club March 19-28. Members from all clubs are encouraged to help out. Information and forms are available on the Hunt Club website, or email seniors2010@ottawahuntclub.org. Clinics for timers, on-ice observers and game statisticians will be provided.
