Lite Rock Grants

The OVCA Lite Rock Grant is designed to help fund the purchase of 22 pound Lite Rocks for youth curling programs in the Ottawa-Valley and Outaouais area.

The OVCA grants $1000 per set purchase. A "set" is defined as 16 stones. 

​

Requests should be made one-year in advance of the planned purchase. This allows for budgeting and planning by the OVCA. However, emergency replacement requests will be reviewed. 

Requirements 

  • Grant will only be paid upon proof of purchase. The proof shall be submitted to the OVCA Treasurer who then issue payment. 

  • ​Priority will be given to clubs who:

    • Have not received a Lite Rocks grant from the OVCA previously or;​

    • Are purchasing their first set of Lite Rocks or;

    • Are purchasing new sets to meet the needs of their program (i.e., a 4-sheet club has only 2 sheets of Lite Rocks) or;

    • Are upgrading from 17lb to 22lb rocks or;

    • Are replacing damaged stones.
