The World Men's Curling Championship (WMCC) was a huge success! As a result, the OVCA is pleased to announce that it received just over $160,000 in estate funds following the event. Many thanks to the curling clubs who helped promote ticket sales and volunteering.
Earlier this year, we announced the first program to benefit from these funds - teams representing their province at selected events will have their OVCA team grant matched by the MCCC Heritage Fund.
Today, we're announcing the next program - the OVCA Capital Projects Reimbursement Program.
If your club has started a capital improvement project, or is planning one this summer, OVCA can help. We're offering member clubs a rebate of up to $1300 for any capital project that began on or after May 1, 2024, and has been completed and paid for by your club.
What constitutes a capital project? Virtually any investment in your club's infrastructure is eligible! New chairs for the lounge? Camera systems? A new sound system for the bar? These and many other projects are eligible for reimbursement!
To be eligible, you must:
Have a project that began on or after May 1, 2024.
Complete the grant application form.
Provide proof of payment (partial or otherwise) for your project.

The grant can be awarded for a single project or for several small projects, but until further notice, each club can only make ONE application.
